Comics publisher Mourad Boudjellal announced on December 21, 2016 that he has decided not to sell French Top 14 outfit Toulon. The outspoken 56-year-old had said in September he was looking at selling the three-time European champions. In October, film producer Gerard Barba and lawyer Lucien Simon had been in advanced talks over a possible 10-million euro ($10.4 million) acquisition. Cette semaine, la Cours d'Appel d'Aix-en-Provence a confirmé la condamnation de l'EPCR et de son directeur général Vincent Gaillard à verser 10 000 euros à Mourad Boudjellal (dommage et intérêts en réparation de son préjudice moral) suite à une sanction après une déclaration de l'ex boss du RCT après une rencontre européenne contre Trévise.
